will :p

cheers, the wood on the left has been in my over tank for a while but with the ocupant of it gone (the TSN) i though i would make some more space for the rays, and the other peice i got from work.

the tank with cabinet, sump (built to spec) drilled with wier built and sliders oh and a spare set of sliders for my other tank cost £350 with delivery, this was after they knocked off 30 for the in convience for the mess up :D there shipping is a flat rate of £40 so thats tops, my only bother about the tank is they built the wier to high so the water touches the braces at front and back, I'm not sure if there meant to do this so there's no water line but i don't it as much like this. i think there cover layout is a bit funny aswell.

bummer... thats a very big tank for only one fishy !!! how big do fahakas get? like 13 inches?
More like 15 to 18 and they grow fast!
Ours went from two to twelve inches in seven months!
*gulp*

thats big... it will fill out the tank nicely

I hope he should, might need to be upgraded to a 5x2x2 in the future.

needs to be a big fish to have a whole tank to him self!!- will try to get away with something else....

Looking awesome mate, I only have one concern, Your floor, with the big tank this tank and sump you've probably got about 1400kg or a ford mondeo sat there . . . just a thought.
Only saying this cos I’m jealous, my mum would kill me if I walked (well staggered) in with a 4x2x2 tank

Best of luck with cookie,

Tom

how are you finding the sand? Usually you have to put a thin layer on the bottom or you may suffer the risk of it going stale

As long as it's regulaly moved around then it's fine.

The reason that Paul has a nice deep sand bed in this tank is because Cookie likes to sleep buried in the sand.

This will of course help in keeping the sand turned over.

yep, will just go aorund with a stick every now and then.

i did it last night as i could see alot of air pockets around the side, quite surprising how many pockets there were!

i want to change my tanks to that type sand now, looks so much better than my other tanks!! feels softer aswell. i think a major mess is coming my way.....my 4ft needs a redo any hows!! .........5ft should be interesting, would have to do it with the fish in!

looks good
whens cookie going in?
