My Second Venture Into The Salty Side :)

hi. Caves are a great idea, but......

Any cave that is made is usually ignored by the intended party and they find another space instead.

Don't want to pee pee on your chips truck but its always the way.

People buy nems for their clowns and the clowns just turn up their nose and host a powerhead or something random like that.

Usually hear people making a cave at the front of their tank for a shrimp / goby pair then complain that the goby and shrimp make a home behind the liverock and away from view.
 that wouldnt suprise me but i think ill try it and see lol, if theyre gonna be arrogant  well we will see

the caves will look great either way but may not be used for what you intended them for.

My skunk cleaner shrimp loves to hang from the underside of one of my caves.

The caves would be an interesting place for the sun coral also, apparently they don't like either strong or direct light, rather ususual for a hard coral realy... Need target feeding regularly to maintain their health also :good:

Looking forward to this one being up and running, so we can all see pictures

All the best

As in, they do or don't like flow? This is interesting, was the post in his nano reef journal, or elsewhere?

EDIT to add, just seen Truck's reply... I used a Coke bottle. I'm photoing my new clowns tomorrow (probibly), so I'll photo the mod while I'm at it for you :good:

thanks rabbut :D i cant wait to see your clowns! been reading your journal :shifty:

every polyp of the sun coral needs to be fed about 2 - 3 times a week.

If it is partially hidden in a cave you may restrict access to all but the nearest polyps.

rabbut:

how did you modify your skimmer to take rowaphos?

Updated my Journal again today, and added a pic for you. Just in case you missed it, here it is again ;)
