Banks Of The Rio De La Palma

everything has melted, all crypts are gone or going and major algae due to no co2. Sorry guys, gonna take a miracle, thanks for the offer livewire but everythings melted it too late now mate.

Ok, the crypts have melted because of the pH swing. That's normal and they'll bounce back. Right now, reduce your photo period and remove dying vegetation. Do plenty of water changes and keep the tank clean. What is the state of the tank at this point?

I was just thinking...the tanks didn't have pressurised C02 running on them in the first place. So it can't be a lack of C02???

My aqua carbon bottle leaked, had none left and thinking I was getting the Co2 kit friday I thought I wont order more, then I got knocked twice and in that time the sudden stop of carbon has caused major GSA and massive melt, now I have diatoms everywhere, GSA and hair algae. just cant be bothered with it, fed up with it, just got it right last week to after a move round and was finally happy with the look and now this. :(

That was friday last week I was supposed to get it btw, also the member is in members tank pics and mentions my name so steer clear.

Can you not strip your tanks save what you got? treat in buckets clean tanks then restart? don't give up mate your way to good to do that and put way to much into your tanks...

Thanks for the comments guys, is cheering me up a little, I'll order some Carbon and see what the damage is when it turns up, the tanks are in black out at the moment so we'll see how bad it is when the carbon turns up.

No worries, your tanks looked superb mate and i'm 100% sure you can get them back looking equally superb if not better!!

Don't give up!!! I'm sure you can fix it!! It's awful about the forum member. Sometimes things are just too good to be true :(

If you could see the algae in my high tech tank.....I jumped in feet first in a 75g, it's nasty. Then after a fishless cycle, I bought 6 apistos and it turned out they had internal parasites which contaminated my other tanks, I have just spent almost $200 on medications based on multiple diagnoses. Now my favorite and best plants are dying because I have to copper my tanks...some of my fish have velvet, AND internal parasites.

I have 100% perfect water quality and Obsessive care of my tanks, and a very eager to learn attitude. Not good enough when you can't control what the fish introduce.

I'm sorry for the sob story, but, I really want to kick you into a better attitude!! :) You have an artistic eye for aquascaping, people get inspired, stop being a pansy. :p

Its very easy to chuck in the towel when something rubbish happens, i got fed up with messing around with plants truth be told so i don't really do much any more, i don't even add Co2. Too much effort for a lazy bum like me. I'm actually enjoying my tanks a lot more now i put less effort into them. :D Keep at it though mate, nothing beats a fresh start, ask Ian. :D

I've sourced some carbon, and currently battling GSA and hair algae while trying to re grow the crypt melt, I'll stick at it. :)

I'm sure it will come back to its former glory soon enough :good:

Lol I wish that's all it was, I'd show you the state of my tank but its embarrassing.
