    Would This Work?

it will take the loach YEARS before it reaches that size. They are an extremely slow-growing fish I'd suggest he keeps it in there, 5 years down the line when the loach might actually outgrow the tank, he can sell it for some good money if he doesnt wanna get it a new tank--- large clown...

I think my Platy gave birth

you are going to find that keeping those fry is waaaay more hassle than they're worth. I kept my platy's fry for about 3 months, they grew to about a quarter-inch, maybe half an inch, then I got tired of them and threw them in with my cichlids. It was pretty entertaining to watch :shifty:

    pictus' eye is messed up

i just noticed my 4" spotted pictus cat's left eyeball is pointed downward, with the top portion of the eyeball looking semi opaque/cloudy. His right eye, on the other hand, is crystal clear and moveable, but the left just stays fixed downward. Is this a disease?

    I have a question!

I dont see any reason why you would actually need dechlorinator. Chlorine evaporates out of the water within 24 hours, so just fill the tank with water and pour in the ammonia. Be warned though, speaking from personal experience here you MUST FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS FAIRLY CAREFULLY--- if you...

    tank too small?

well, there's no doubt that a 45g is way too small for those tinfoils already, but I have no definite explanation for why they are developing those ulcer-like sores, if your water params are all perfect and your doing excellent water changes...

El Paso, Texas. Pretty lousy place as far as LFSes go, since there's very little fish selection here; gotta order anything you want that's even halfway exotic

    Algae B Gone

I had a 10g feeder tank that was just smothered in green and brown algae. I finally went out and bought a 3" common pleco to hopefully clear it. In 3 days, the entire tank was spotless. Had to feed him lots of zucchini after that, but just a few weeks after getting him he jumped out...
