pictus' eye is messed up

i just noticed my 4" spotted pictus cat's left eyeball is pointed downward, with the top portion of the eyeball looking semi opaque/cloudy.

His right eye, on the other hand, is crystal clear and moveable, but the left just stays fixed downward.

Is this a disease?

I think it's popeye. You should put it in a hospital tank and give it 1 grain of aquarium salt per tank gallon. You may want to start treatment ASAP because it can spread from one eye to the other quickly. My Dalmation Mollys have had it before and it's not too serious if treated right away. 8) Good Luck!

no! pictus cats are scaleless fish. salt in any amount should NEVER be added to scaleless fish. salt can and will burn them!

have used maracyn products for popeye. did the trick.
