That type of tank comes in different sizes. I have (or had) one that was a little over a gallon. Unfortunately, I dropped it last week during a water change and it busted. :angry: Oh well...at least it was empty so no betta was harmed. :lol: The larger one I think is around 3 gallons.

One of my bettas flares at me...actually he flares at pretty much anything that moves. :lol:

I know alot of people who think bettas are not tropical fish and believe that they don't need a heater.

Sorry to hear about your betta, Rugby. I know you will miss her. :-( Ravenwing, I think that she (or he...sorry I don't know) meant that the female and the male were in the 1/2 gallon at the store. Betta_luver rescued the girl from the male and the small tank. :nod:

Sometimes I use white vinegar to remove algae on silk plants during water changes. While I'm cleaning the tank, I soak my silk plants in a mixture of 1/2 vinegar and 1/2 water. Afterwards I use a tooth brush to scrub the plants to remove the algae and wash them off with water really good. Any...

Yeah, I just noticed that. Found him on Aquabid...looks like a lot of people want him! Can't say that I blame them.

I'll post a pic of one of mine since I have one handy. They come in many different colors. This one is teal.

I also have two 2.5 mini bows. They are a great tanks for bettas...nice and roomy. :good: I do not use the filters that came with them in my tanks. However, from my experiences the filters are perfect for bettas since they do not create too much current.
