Thank you very much for all the info. Yes, my fish definitely show sypmtoms of hexamita, but some of them also have slightly sunken in stomachs....? (And one fish has a super sunken in stomach) I will try all that you have said, but one question - Instead of putting the med on top of frozen...

My fish actually have hexamita. I have figured it out, because their symptoms (skinniness, protruding lateral lines, clear/stringy poo) match the description for hexamita. I was told to treat w/ metronidazole, so that's what I'm doing. Thanks!

Thanks everyone. Will reply quick as I have to leave for school. I never keep carbon in my filter -- only when I want to get rid of a med. So, carbon was already out. I am treating for hexamita in my livebearers.

That sounds to me kind of like an internal parasite or bacterial infection. You can try medicated food, and you can also re post this question in the Emergency section. Good luck! :good:

NO. 1. Have seen goldfish eat guppies. (No, not guppy fry, actual guppies.) 2. Goldfish prefer lower temps. 3. They eat different foods, and goldfish will get there before the guppies. Hope this helps! Good luck!
