Driftwood?

How do you prepare it so it's safe for aquariums? I picked some up at the beach a while ago, and I'd like to put it in my aquarium. What do I do?

if it's small enough the best is to boil it. otherwise put it in really hot water and do that a few times. if it doesn't float it'll have to be in water for a while until it sinks. Or you can glue it to a rock or something.
