Yes I've just noticed this also. I think it is almost certainly due to the downtime that we had a few days ago that google has dropped us from the results. Hopefully they'll soon realise that we're not down for good and reinstate the site!

It is a modification which is installed to the forums. We do agree entirelythat it would be much better if it had an automatic date cutoff, and it is something that I have enquired about, thus far I have run into a brick wall, with no response from the creator of the modification or any other...

The trouble is that a lot of people enable email notifications for all forums, and then get bombarded with a lot of emails- instead of deactivating it here, they tend to just click "report spam" so it automatically goes into their junk folder. When many people (5% I think?) do this the ISP...

Lateral was talking about moving posts. Regarding deleting posts, we don't have implement this is because it allows more traceability. If a user decides to completely edit out a post the relic is left, without having to churn through log files. I can see little benefit with allowing users to...

I do like the thought, but the trouble is coordination as SH said. We did try having an expert in, who answered questions selected from a lot of entries but it was quite one dimensional.

Words may be added to (or removed) from the filter as and when we see necessary. There is no need or place for swearing even through abbreviations on this forum.

I am pleased to say that following a recent upgrade we are now able to allow searches of words two letters and above- this should make things a lot easier when looking for things such as pH and acronyms. :good:

More pictures lead to greater use of both bandwidth and hardisk space- so these are the downsides. I am looking into upgrading the server but this will cost more money per month. I do agree, having photo uploads in all of the forums would make the forums more uniform and more practical. I would...

Hi- I think this problem is now fixed. Invision have said you may need to go to the main forum page and click "Mark all posts as read" but things in the future should work fine.
