I know that one of the small peeves of some users here is the inability of IPB searches to use text strings smaller than 3 characters. This rules out some oft-searched phrases, like CO2, kH, pH etc and can lead to many questions being asked again and again.
However, something occured to me the other day; you can use google to search within a domain name, and there is no limit to the characters used.
More details on it here.
I have quickly tried it on the search "CO2" and it appears to work well, but you are obviously searching the whole site, so there are a lot of returns (presumably why you can't do it in IPB to start with). However, I guess you can substitute the url you are searching for with a longer one for the sub forum.
Ironically, I haven't searched to see if anyone has posted this elsewhere on the site, so please excuse me if this is duplicated elsewhere!!
