Well, they were out of the stuff all over town, so I had to settle for doing nothing! The Nitrites are back to zero today after a couple days of cloudiness which I will assume was a bloom of bacteria building up the colony. My Rummy-Noses seem particularly overrun with exuberance today. LOL...

What kind of filter and media do you have? I ran my emporer with just filter "floss" for a couple weeks while medicating and the water was pretty cloudy which it never is with the normal filter cartridge is installed.

This was my thought too. Since each capsule does 10 g. 20 seems too low, and 25 will be a pain to measure out. :)

Kanacyn makes a big point out of dosing for the NET amount of water. So I figure by NET gallons they mean the amount of water actually in the tank when taking into account the space at the top, decorations, gravel, etc. I have a 40 gallon tank, but if you measuer the amount actually in there...

I break off a corner, get it wet then crumble it into the tank. I don't even turn the filter down much as the fish seem to enjoy the frenzy of chasing the little worms all over the place.

So here is what I did. I pulled out the old cartridge. and about 10% of the water and then put in some fresh treated water. Stuffed my optional media cartridge full of Petcetera Filter Fiber and stuck it in the filter. Added THREE tabs of Jungle AquaBuddies Ick Clear. The dosing says use 1...
