has anybody got any suggestions on how to clear cloudy water, its been like this for about 2 weeks and no amount of water changes seem to make any difference. I know its a bacteria bloom and not an algae bloom because its white and not green. Its a fairly new tank, and yes it has been cycled and doesn't seem to be bothering my fish (only me). I don't want to add any more chemicals, so does anyone have any other suggestions.?

Yes, cleaned the gravel. The water was clear for about 6 weeks, but then went cloudy. The tank has been set up for about 12 weeks now ?

What kind of filter and media do you have?

I ran my emporer with just filter "floss" for a couple weeks while medicating and the water was pretty cloudy which it never is with the normal filter cartridge is installed.

Have you tried running the filter with some carbon for a while this may help clean up the cloud. Sometimes its just particles in the water that look like a bacterial bloom and if it is carbon will clean it up pretty quickly. HTH :)

Your tank is fine and it will clear up on its own. Took my tank 3 months to become crystal clear.

I'd have to agree. My tank appeared a little milky and very bright (the light had lots to hit in the water). However the cycle is near completion now and its looking much more clear. Also the slightly white/milky algae/bacteria has turned green ish now..... I noticed that just before the tank really cleared in general.
