What volume though? It could be a 4 foot 40 gallon...which would be far too small, or a 4 foot 10000 gallon (could be really tall :P)

Fish should be fine for a week, so should your shrimp. As excaliborg said, cut your photo period down. On your ferts, how 'gruelling' is the routine? If it's just ferts every few days etc then your plants'll be ok too...they should be fine anyway.

how many fish have you got? How big is each 'portion' that you put in the tank?

nerites won't reproduce in a freshwater aquarium, they need to be in brackish.

Is it possible to breed these (especially ADFs) in the home aquaria?? I've never come across it before, but maybe someone here has! :good: Greg

you could get an ADF, they'll stay ALOT smaller than these guys!

The moss looks tied down fine. Slate doesn't actually rust, it'll be impurities (eg some iron) or where the slate has been in contact with rusting metal (eg where there has previously been a nail through it)

Ye, they only reproduce in brackish water, but they'll still lay their eggs in fresh.

ebay has them, cheaper than AE as well. just type in "nerite" and you'll find them at the bottom in the 'ebay shops' section.

what other tropica sellers are there online? Is birstall tropica?

looks good. where did you get your shrimp? in falkirk? on the plant/shrimp deah thing, it's most probably the copper on some of the plants that you added. I would always wash and rinse new plants before planting them. :good: greg
