Honestly dwarf puffers are vicious little critters and will nip the fins off almost any fish. I would keep it as a species only tank. If the tank was bigger you might get away with it but being a 10 gallon I would just have a couple puffers.

What I did to help level mine was get some woodshims at a hardware store and put them under the stand. Make sure that you put them under the stand itself not the tank.

Alot of it will depend on what size tank you have for example the fx5 is a great filter but putting it on a 10 gallon would not be a good idea. :good:

Make sure you use tank water! Just grab a bucket siphon some tank water in it put your filter media in there and wash them out. Never clean your filter media in unconditoned tap water the cholorine will kill the bacteria :good:
