Thanks for the replys. I have the air line connected to a sponge filter and its actually the noise in the water of the bubbles that i was wondering if you can do anything about. cheers

Anyone got any tips on how to reduce the noise from the bubbles off the air lines,ive closed of most of the air with a tiny clamp on the line but it doesnt help with the noise. Dont tell me i have to put up with it :no: thanks

silly question Got up this morning and 2 of my 4 acaras(2 inch size) are virtually in constant lip lock. I presume these are both males showing signs of dominance. I have never been totally convinced that they are Blue Acaras and after looking on here at a topic on the same subject im pretty sure they are not green terrors, can anyone give me a 2nd opinion as to what i have. I agree with you balajake but surely if you manage to get a breeding pair and they are in a tank on their own then they should be ok as regards attempting breeding

You can make her spit the fry into the breeding tank and put her back into the main tank round about the time

Yes it looks like your labs holding. Have you checked if she is eating when you feed your fish. If you plan to keep the fry you will have to remove her from your main tank or the other fish will eat the fry, it normally takes about 28 days before she spits and she wont eat anything which is normal.

Forgot to mention Having bred some of my malawi chiclids i quite fancy breeding acaras where you can just leave most of the work to the fish, unlike malawis where you have to intervine if you want to keep the fry/:rolleyes:
