hiya all please to meet you
please can anyone help me i have a plec thats grown to big for my tank is there any thing else i can get that keeps my tank clean thats smaller thanks lynnedav

Hi lynndav
There are plecs you can get that dont grow more than 3-4inch, they are more expensive than common plecs
Ive got a tiger plec,had him for years and he is not any bigger than the size i mention,

most plecs wont bother fish the size of tetras etc its only the likes of new born fry that they would probably go for.
If you find one of the smaller plecs (check out the plec forums for sizes etc) then it shouldnt bother the rest of your fish.
You didnt mention the size of your tank as to why your present plec is too big.

The size of your plec is fine at the momment, im assuming you know the type of plec you have.
Its very important when getting a plec that you know the kind of one your buying as the majority of plecs will grow very big, some around the 10inch mark and are very difficult to re-home

i dont know what one this is i had it given me but it seems to grow very quick i have found him her a new home but i need to get something else in his place thank you for the reply again
