my pump makes a racket bed it on some old clothing or a cloth so it doesnt rattle about to much the power cables and airlines will rattle causing extra noise if there leaning against anything

if i got a 5+ gallon tank and a 10+ gallon filter everything should be fine then :D in fact i could use the elite mini filter i have (20liter filter) and a bubble filter or would that stress the puffer out?

it will syphon the water from the top tank to the bottom one causing a flood the water levels of the 2 tanks must equal each other when you set the system up, otherwise they will equal each other by themselves. not good :no:

mines a nokia i set it on a short vidoe clip and adjusted the settings to loop (so the short clip keeps repeating itself) this kept the light on, although the screen was fair to crap removal of the cover gave me some bright mini LED's (keypad light) works a treat but the battery packed in :X

pretty shure thats US gallons i might get one of these, my elite causes far to much water disturbance

still cycling so im leaving the stock as it is for a week or so doing 25% water changes 4/5 times a week and washing the filter out (in tank water) nearly every night

i suppose it depends on what rubbish gets washed up onto your beaches ..... can you boil sand?

whats the size of your tank and how dep do you plan the sand to be

ahh i think ill go for 2 of the same kind, cant really go for 2 of each otherwise ill be far to over stocked, ill look round the lfs see what takes my fancy thanks for all the help and advice :)

argos play sand is the way forward make shure you wash it well and at £2.49 for a 15kg bag it isnt going to break the bank
