Yah My Albinos Have Spawned!

great news on more fry. my female looks like a marble, she is at fat as she is long. I hope she lays the eggs soon. i gotta catch up

Thanks redbug :)

Good luck with yours, hope she spawns soon :good:

The new fry are doing well,i've left them in the large net atm due to have larger siblings in the fry tank, just fattening them up a bit before they go in there. Awaiting new eggs to hatch, hopefully tomorrow, also found 2 panda eggs whilst doing the weekly w/c

Harlequins, i am just wondering if bronze will spawn albino as after i moved my fry to my 35l some seem dark and some seem light.

Its very noticeable when the fry hatch has you can tell immediately if you have albino's has they are pink as opposed to the darker coloured bronze.

oh so i my get some albino's aswell as bronze, cool

Albino is a colour variant of the bronze :good: ,so quite possible to get both,my albino's regularly give me bronze fry also :)

I'm just up loading a video of my latest fry,so will add here when its done

Here's the latest batches from the albinos varying from 1-5 days old of both bronze & albino fry :)

thats a lot of fry :)

Am i right in thinking the Albinos are the easiest ones to breed?

I've got a couple of bronze fry in a seperate tank, i purchased a Fluval "Spec" at the weekend, only holds 7.5L so seems to make quite a good fry tank if you ensure the filter holes in the tank are covered up with some netting. :)

Update has the albinos have spawned again, the last batch are growing so well,i need to keep the batch from 5 days ago in the net for now or else they'll be lunch for the growing juvi's

New eggs in net awaiting hatching :)

Congrats on all the sucessful egg laying and fry growing up

. By the looks of if your Albinos are having as much fun as my Peppered and Sterbia are at the breeding game. I just rescued another 20 odd eggs and while I was sitting down watching the adults munch of algea wafers I spied some more eggs plastered up high on the back of the tank

. I'm glad to see its not only my Cory's that manage to squeeze themselves between the heater and the glass to lay their eggs, considering how large some of my girls are I'm surprised
blink.gif
they even fit in there

. All my Cory's have been much better behaved this time round spawning and appear to be leaving the eggs alone. Some of the eggs I have been discovering still scattered all over the tank are older eggs and getting close to hatching. Because mine had not restricted themselves to only laying on the glass but have also layed eggs in/ on almost all the different bunches of plants I have given up saving the eggs on the weed...there is only so many bits you can snip off before you end up with no weed left. And just out of interest it appears even the Borneo Sucker fish aren't interested in eating the cory eggs so thats a real bonus.
Keep up the good work and continued good luck in raising all your fry.

what an excellen threat

Im really enjoying corys at the moment and want to have a crack at breeding them

great vid Harlequins, nice to clearly see the difference in colour of them, hoping one of my groups will breed soon so i can join in the breeding fun :fun:
