Yah My Albinos Have Spawned!

I just got really excited. I saw one of my larger bronzes wriggling on one of the amazon sword leaves - just like I've seen the egg laying in the video's ... I jumped up from my sofa, went to the tank watched her wriggle some more and then swim away ... nothing on the leaf!! What the ...

It wouldn't surprise me if they haven't already hid eggs amongst your plants,theres plenty of coverage there

I think your right and I also think they are laying them when I'm not around and by the time I am around the #40## platies and guppies have had a sneaky snack.

I was at my lfs this afternoon and was chatting to one of the staff members about cories and how I was trying to breed them and he suggested getting an identical tank to the one I have now and making a copy and putting the cories in there on their own to see what happens then .... he then said that cories grow huge (held his fingers about 12 inches apart) and can live for 25 years .... I then began to wonder if he was bulls****ing me. I'm pretty certain cories have around a 5 year lifespan and 12 inches long??? um ... I hope not!!

12 inch corys.... - Bronze can get to 3 inches but 12 inches.... Hmmm think not

I've heard of corys living upto to 15 yrs, but unsure the average lifespen,probably is around 5 yrs...

Well update on wee younsters , i have moved 10 of the bigger ones into the adjoining tank , they quite active at mo,running rings(well swimming really ) around the skunks that are in there

One of my Albino females is looking fat again - guess another spawn might be imminent....

All babes are still growing well, including the 10 i transferred into the bigger tank

I've just noticed my new baby bronze has a lump under it's belly. I'm hoping it's just an over full belly ... could it be anything else though?
