Well just an update of the now growing juvi's & new hatchings today from the spawning 3 days ago...
Heres the new ones, more bronze fry as well as albino coming from the albino adults.theres still a few eggs to hatch yet,i've just put these in the fry tank...
Heres the juvi's taken a few weeks ago, growing fast, theres the bronze ones that came from the albinos plus pandas,i've added more pandas since
These wee fry hatched yesterday,i have now added them to the fry tank, looks like there are a few bronze fry in there also.
Just waiting for the other vid to upload of the older ones
Heres video no 2.these albino/bronze vary in age the biggest one are around 4 months, the smaller ones maybe 2-3 months.the 4 pandas in the net are around 2 months old.And the other tank next door has wee 2 week old bronze & albino fry,the albinos are hard to see on the sand here
Another major egg laying yesterday morning from the albinos, must've laid around 200 eggs, they were everywhere,i managed to save some, time will tell if them hatch
oh harlequins, i managed to raise just 2 of mine in the end lol they are about 2-3cm now, i had 3 diff batches of fry in the same tank think the first batch ate the 3rd and being unprepared to raise cory fry/first time raiser killed the rest getting a new tank soon so gonna get another type of cory to go with my 9 bronze hopefully have more success with some experience
Been watching your topic for sometime now! Your baby corys are so beautiful Its so captivating to watch them swim round the tank, so small.
I was wondering if you would be able to tell me if any of the eggs im about to describe are fertile? they are cory eggs (obviously). some are clear with a white dot in the middle and some are just white/cream colour. Any of these sound fertile?
The older 45 juvi's have now found new homes bless them, they went to a lfs before christmas, now rearing different batches from recent spawnings
newly laid eggs are creamy looking with a dark spot in the centre, the eggs will darken if fertile,if they turn white or go furry then they're infertile or no good and must be removed before they affect the good eggs
Well update on the albinos that have been spawing on & off over the last few weeks, but the other fish have been eating the eggs before i get chance to save them...
Anyhows massive spawn by the big mama today,a good 100+ eggs saved,so watch this space
