Winter Ice Storm in Texas

, but its a BMW 320CI sport coupe and its rear wheel drive so not the best car to drive in the snow.
I would never own a rear wheel drive car where I live, front wheel drive makes a huge difference in snow. I live in a metro area which averages 100 inches of snow/year, no need for 4 wheel drive, front wheel is all I need.

We be fools driving in 2”. Look like a destruction derby. Can’t tell you how many family members slipped and fell yesterday...numerous times! One sprain his ankle and had to go to ER. It doesn’t help when we all are wearing flip flops. (Just joking there). Instead of sleds, the kids were sliding down hills on boogie boards (that’s true).
Walk like a penguin!

Just got over a bout of bad weather up where I live. Finally warmed up, but between the rain and melting snow we are now facing flooded roads. You know what they say, when it rains it pours.

I hope you won't have to drive in that mess, and that your power stays on!
Thank you, didn't have to go anywhere today...just now got above freezing, supposed to freeze again tonight, but no precip...still lots of ice everywhere, not sure if it will be all melted off of the roads by morning time...wait and see, I guess.

Sorry for the late reply, internet has been down all day...

I can’t even imagine! I’m dancing because we get above freezing at 3:00...34F then. Make it all go away. My pool has ice on top today. Tomorrow it rains here in SE Texas. Yuk!
Freezing again tonight, too...

It warmed up here from -7 degrees to +18. I should put on a T shirt and shorts :p It had been cold here for the past month and our heat went out Sunday. My wife bundled up in a blanket until the furnace repairman got here late in the afternoon. I had to add water to all my tanks due to evaporation. Wind chill got down to -35 degrees

Slushy here today, sun is out. I was able to poke a hole in the pond and got some bloodworms. Note to self: a freeze fattens them! ?
LOL, don't fall through the ice, that would not be good...I bet they've BEEN fattening up, for quite a while now, for winter.
You raise bloodworms in your pond, or are they wild there? I thought they had to be farm-raised....trough-raised...tank-raised...whatever....

Just found out my work is closed again tomorrow, WOO-HOO!!...hard freeze again tonight, and many w/out power, still...

They happened on their own. Probably been there for years but I never had a need for them so didn't notice. I harvest bloodworms, scuds, mosquito larvae, ostracods and copepods from it. We'll see if they are still there in the spring when the frogs come.

How long are the BW's, I've only ever seen them chopped up?

Tried to slice up some live earthworms I caught here once, not a pretty sight....huge mess, and pretty gross, lol...

Around 10mm give or take. The ones this morning were fat, about 1mm in the round. Miss Ethel only took one and was stuffed! She is still so little compared to Nicodemus.

Hello, we're in the States, what's this "mm" stuff?.....
You know, I remember as a kid digging around muddy ponds (or yards) here, there WERE some very bright red worms about that size I used to encounter...maybe that was them?

Miss Ethel? Nicodermus?
