Who Else Has To Change There Clothes After A Water Change

wow now i dont feel so bad. i always end up drenched, but ive started keeping towels under my stand for maintaince days. so its a bit less now.

WOW, I guess I am not the only one. But I only get my top wet plus the stool I have to stand on to get the water in and out. I usually get one of my summer tops out. Since the tank is on the counter in the dining room, close to the kitchen sink. I love this forum reading everyone's problems, even though they don't pertain to me. By the way, can anyone tell me where the spell checker is? Some words I do misspell even though I did get A's in Spelling in school and I am 57.

Oddly enough the only time when dealing with water that I dont get utterly soaked is at home, the OH would go nuts if I didnt apply a slightly more careful approach :good: lol

Over the years working in two LFS's I was always head to toe wet through and always getting laughed at, my priority has always been a a good quality job as fast as possible so my non-splashing capabilities are compromised!!!
Now I'm at Durrell I'm just as bad with hoses in every room there hahaha, hoseheads explode off, i drop them straight on the trigger and fire a faceful of water on myself etc etc etc :hyper:

For me it's the sign of a job enthusiastically done ;)

I Dont usually get that wet....its my dog who sticks her head under the tap when im refilling the buckets....xD

Oh and because im too pikey to buy a longer gravel vac im using one that was meant for 60Litres on a 300 litre.........so if I dont pay attention the floor gets very very wet

Never had to get changed, i tend to pour the water into the tank not on myself :) I find its quite effective that way.

i always get soaked and always end up using all the tea towels i own, then bath towels on the laminate, and i always wipe my hands on my butt, so iget soaked thru, and my tumble dryer gets ever so busy on tank cleaning days, just to stock up on the tea towels that i can never find one of when im done :(

I dont do water changes - never have - never had a problem.

well who does them for u

This thread is funny!

I always grab the towel from the cloakroom, I time my water changes with when the cloakroom needs a clean towel. I chuck on a lame tracksuit and armed with my giant fermenting bucket full of aquatic tools and this towel, I get going. I usually do ok and don't get too wet. However, if I have ever done w/c with my good clothes on, I get soaked. It's stupid. I think if you don't care, you are more careful somehow!

I haven't spilt a drop (yet!) but saying that, my tank is only 40 litres :D

tisk tisk helen only 40L, you need to get a bigger tank... and more tanks... hehehe multiple tank sydrom... spread the disease :D
