What are you doing today?

Just ordered a lock-box to mount in the rear basket of my trike. It will just be to store such things as the tool kit that came with the trike, tire repair kit and a small air pump. Just stuff to cover issues while I'm out and about.

Other than that it seems like movie night and I'm wondering why I'm watching Captain America -Civil War with commercials when I have it in my media library without commercials... :dunno:

@jaylach
Does the bike have a way of monitoring its state if charge? Can you charge it in the storage area or do you have to bring it into your apartment to charge it?

Do you have led warning lights on it? If not, you might consider getting one for the front and one for the rear.

The thing has a sealed water proof LCD display that has more options than I've yet to figure out including a speedometer, battery level, mileage, riding mode and much more even including approximate miles remaining under the current riding conditions. The thing is not a toy. It is a very viable every day vehicle which I would not even consider letting a young person to ride. It has extreme torque for hill climbing up to a 20 degree grade without using the pedals. Most people think of these things as a three wheel bicycle and, in some cases that is the case. However, as in the case of what I got, these are very sophisticated vehicles that are much closer to a low speed three wheel motorcycle but just powered by an electric motor rather than a gas engine.

As to charging there are electric outlets in the lobby but probably won't use as I can just remove the battery and bring to my apartment as it just takes a key position to unlock and release the battery. It is a 750 watt motor with a max output of 1350 watt if needed as to how it 'draws' from the battery to the motor. Since it can take up yo 6-8 hours to charge the battery if close to totally discharged it makes more sense to bring the battery to my apartment as I would prefer to monitor the charging. Oh, and it takes a key to remove the battery. Shoot, it takes a key to even power up the thing.

Yes, it has lights and both front and rear are quite bright. The rear light even brightens more when either the front or back break lever is squeezed.

Here is an image of the display when first powered up and no riding mode selected... Keep in mind that there are a LOT more options as to the display. This is just initial startup. For reference the 'PAS' indicator is for pedal assist. It determines how much the moror helps when using the pedals, thee are 6 settings for this.

Sorry to trauma dump on you guys.

But I was so hurt by the whole thing that I didn't call the emergency dentist at 8am. I lay in bed crying it out and not wanting to deal with anyone else medical but my usual GP right now.

By her and 111's reaction, my life isn't in immediate danger, and feel like I made a bigger deal out of than it warranted from their point of view. So I'm ashamed and embarrassed, but I was genuinely both in pain and terrified.

I am sorry you have been thru all this.
But I agree with that ornery GP, while you are healing from the SA, take a chaperone with you to the dentist and eye doctor. Just make a day of it if you can and buy them lunch?
There is a book I bought for a friend's daughter who had childhood SA to deal with, and I read it first to be sure it would not damage her further. It is "The Sexual Healing Journey" by Wendy Maltz. It was pretty good. Hugs.... Also you can't get the tooth dealt with until the antibiotics have worked. Call at 8:00 tomorrow morning and set an appointment when they have had time to work.

Thank you so much, lovely! ❤️
Definitely will want to bring someone with me, for the agoraphobia part, mainly, but also just in case, you're right.

It was just her entire manner, you know? I'm doing better now that the panic and upset has calmed and been taken over by ligitimate anger. Disgusting for a medical professional to speak to someone having a terrifying mental health episode/with MI's like that, and make them reveal their trauma to this nasty stranger.

Fortunately, my regular GP is fantastic, as have been most medical care people I've seen, or worked with. She stuck out because she was so rare.

I get that to her "it's just a panic attack. Not life threatening. I need details, it's 5am and I wish I was asleep right now".

But a GP should know that the person having the panic attack, even if knowing it's 'only' a panic attack, can't just flip a switch and turn it off.

P:S - I've found that book on ebay, and just doing some research on it, thank you so much for the recommendation! Looks helpful. You're the best, reading through it first on behalf of a friend's daughter. ❤️

To the rest of the thread, apologies. Not the place to trauma dump and for these topics. I'm calmer now!

So this afternoon, I'm going to finally start repainting the living room! Excited for that to get done, and I love painting and decorating, really get in the zone.

Also have some house plants that need potting on, but we'll see if that happens, rain allowing.
:)

Awwwwh that’s me that is. The Bourne series especially. They’re on all the time over here and as soon as I see it on the guide I’m watching it even though it’s always half way through. Thing is they’re all the same. I love the bits where Bourne casually drops into the phone conversations they’re trying to track that he can see them. But I’ll never watch them on dvd for some reason.
