What are you doing today?

@JuiceBox52 congrats on the dress, and on the impending wedding. Pockets are useful in case you need snacks, or have extra fishfood jars you forgot to put away.

Today, I was just out clearing snow so there'll be room for more snow tomorrow.
Definitely will have to take a photo will a fish food jar now 😂

so is the centerpiece on each table going to be a large fish bowl with a goldfish swimming around?
My mom actually had bettas as her centerpieces (before she had me who knows better)
She had large vases and borrowed the bettas from a local pet store and then returned them after the wedding

Kinda sad, but also cool I guess...

Really? In wedding dresses? I didn't think it was common... Hm...
Every single prom dress my daughter looked at (there were many) had pockets. Hidden in the side folds. Including those from America. I imagine wedding dresses are the same.

In the few bridal shops we went to, there were a grand total of 2 dresses with pockets. It’s very rare to find dresses with pockets in my experience, always has been, casual or formal. I have one casual dress with pockets and now the wedding dress. Kind of like women’s jeans with decent pockets are hard to find, dresses are even harder

LOL! With how dependent your generation, and a whole lot of mine, are as to cell phones I'm surprised pockets are not more common. I say that kidding around but it would not surprise me if pockets become more common. ;)

The pocket thing with women's clothing is nasty. But the trade off is the boring stuff men have to wear at weddings.

I agree! I’ve had to avoid wearing dresses unless I can wear shorts with pockets underneath because I need my phone to contact help if something happens and I fall etc, so if I find clothes with great pockets I get very excited.

I was joking with my friend that if I find a wedding dress with pockets that’s the one I’m choosing, turned out the pockets had nothing to do with my decision and were just a bonus!😁

LOL! My ex insisted that the guys in the wedding party wear patent leather shoes with their tux. I mean this is 1976 and who was ever going to wear these shoes again? A couple of days before the wedding we all went to Sears and bought the shoes. After the wedding we all returned the nasty things.

Gross lol. All my bridesmaids are choosing their own dresses. I don’t like the look of the typical poor fitting ugly bridesmaids dresses😂

HEY! Do today's wedding receptions still do the garter belt thing? If so the belt could hold a hidden cell phone at least until the groom throws to the single guys... One would just have to remember to remove the phone before the toss :)

I don't give my ex credit for much but she was cool with the bridesmaids dresses. First, while not super rich, her family did have some money. Her mom paid for the dresses. Also the dresses were sort of semi formal classic in style and could be used for any semi or formal function. Think of a knee length teal colored little black dress.

I think the most extravagant wedding dress I ever saw was hand made just before the wedding as it was largely made from air orchid blooms in white and purple. Ya, her parents were actually filthy rich! The dress base was made from gauze for fitting then the blooms were stitched in. Personally I thought this was sort of dumb. I mean the girl was really, REALLY, pretty but nobody saw her. They just saw the dress. The bride and groom should be the center of attention, not the garments.
