Today I am Being unnecessarily anxious. The jury for an art festival I applied to (and spent $120 on the application ) is reviewing. The dates for review/notification of acceptance are may 13-17, it’s the 14th now, and

my overthinking brain is saying well OBVIOUSLY they declined my application and that’s why I haven’t heard from them, when the jurors have hardly had a full day

OBVIOUSLY my overthinking brain was correct… all 6 entries declined. That’s 6 non-refundable art application fees down the drain too.

Oh well, life goes on, and that’s just part of life and work as an artist

The bestest boy. How lucky were we to stumble across this beautiful soul for free and to spend almost 8 years with him. He lived a good long life to the ripe old age of almost 9.

I was a bit surprised today by Microsoft. I used to be a Microsoft MVP (Most Valuable Professional) but not since 2009. Today I received the following via email. Being an MVP DID have it's perks such as ALL Microsoft software except games being free and an invite to the Microsoft Global Summit in Redmond Washington. I had to pay airfare but Microsoft paid everything else including putting me up in the Weston hotel at ~$200.00 a night and all meals.

Unless he was an MVP from 2007 to 2009 I doubt it. I stopped the MVP status when I closed my business in 2009. I was MVP for three years.

WOW!!!!! Just found out that Jim Brown, arguably the best running back to ever play the game of NFL football, died today at the age of 87. But football wasn't his only talent. He was also successful in movies such as the dirty dozen and 100 rifles. He was also a major activist for racial equality. He will be greatly missed.

I am sitting outside, drinking tea, catching up on some reading, praying, and generally getting my head on straight for the day, while listening to the catbirds, robins, meadowlarks, and house finches filling the air with music and reveling in the GREEN!!! Wow, I love springtime.
