Trial And Error

looks good mate, just make sure theres plenty of flow around that glosso rather than adding extra light. Glosso can carpet well under low light, as long as the flow is good. I wish you'd have Pm'ed me as i have just thrown loads out!

 Now go in your bin and fish it out!!! :hey: Thanks for the info on the Glosso. I had read elsewhere ( ) that it is more of a light loving plant than co2 hence the addition of the extra light. I have a small powerhead in there so flow isn't a problem. Again, once the external arrives i will be able to direct the spray bars at different angles around the tank to encourage it to grow.

That will look great mate when it all grows in... The Japonica looks like it's recovered mate.. looks good!

Thanks Jay. Yeah the Blyxa is doing well. Got one more small piece to go in that won't make a difference to the scape, but it might aswell be in there than any other tank.

Might have to raise the hardscape a little as it looks a little low in the picture. Any other alterations? Should i spread the stems out or leave them as they are?

I'd leave it as you have it now and see how you feel when it starts to grow in. You will get a better idea of how it will turn out then so can make any adjustments you feel would improve it. Blyxa Japonica can be a pain to start with but when you get the conditions to it's liking it is a brilliant plant (easily my favourite!). The DIY CO2 is working well then mate? might try this on my 55L!

Yeah its going ok mate, cheers. Now I have resealed it and taped it up just to tidy it up its going great. :good:

Didn't notice you'd uploaded some pictures, looking good.
