I have test for ph, nitrate, nitrite, and salinity for my salt water tank. I was wondering if there are any other test that I should run reqularly like harmful metals or other things that might get into my tank????

Thank you cute, and glad to be here. I was hoping there was a test for metals because I may have inadvertanly exposed my fish to some from rock that may or may not have had metals. I did not see any but that is the only other thing I can think of that may have been killing some of my fish,

hello and welcome as far as the metal testing may i ask what type of metal you feel may have contaminated your tank. the reason i ask is cause i never heard of this. good luck in your venture someone here can definitely help. you might want to try posting your question in the saltwater forum

thanks for the welcome everybody and yes I am getting some really good advice ;) . As for the type of metal pollutant, I am not sure, but I was told (on here by the way) that some rocks, if not from the sea already, may have metals or other pollutants that bleaching, drying, and curing will not take away. I did add rocks that were not from the sea so I thought maybe that is the reason I am losing fish since nothing else makes sense.

rena i couldnt help but notice that your hospital tank you said has bugs and slugs in it did you by any chance put any of the fish from larger tank in here and then back into the big tank when they got healthy?
