Setting Up The 29g. Totally Psyched I Have Saltwater In My Living Room

OK. Forget about the clips as they look like they are riveted and cant be moved. (you may need to clip them off) the Endcaps look like they are screwed down so working on the assumption that they are screwed you will need to off set the two endcaps, moving one closer to the front of the canopy and the other closer to the back.
It will involve a little hole drilling for the screws/bolts.
This will let the two tubes sit happily in the canopy albeit not in line but a little offset. This will have no effect whatsoever on the lighting produced for your tank.
Then you can buy some replacement clips for the other end of the tubes to hold them in situe, using small self tapping screws

Thanks. Right now Reefkeeping Magazine is one of my most favorite websites for researching....as well as TFF :)wub: ) of course.

Well, thanks to BigC/Truck's advice we decided to take apart the light and move the plug in's for the light bulb. We came up with this:

I think it looks a lot better with the lights over it, don't you think? These are the 50/50's that are on.

I figure I'll add another 200 or 300 gph pump to aim at the surface?? The output on the skimmer is right below the surface of the water, but when the skimmer was running it didn't break it up a whole lot either. I figure another pump to circulate it around the water and let the skimmer pull some junk out??

Thanks TiggerIssey. That's a good one also :)

Yeah, definitely ened a PH up there near the surface. Gotta break that up a little more for gas exchange :)

what im doing to combat surface proteins is a partition with an over flow so all the protein on the surface is skimmed off the surface and goes through some floss. ive not tried it yet i just hope it works

nice colours from those tubes :good:

what colour temp are they?

Get Skimming and direct that Koralia towards the surface
