A bit of an update on the 180. Light is now cut down to six hours, let's hope it helps tackling the algae, otherwise I'll bring in the Seachem. I find it very frustrating as I can see how everything is growing, but it seems to be getting worse rather than better. I'll give it some time and hope for the best.
The plants have now been in for four weeks (well, tomorrow four weeks) and I have taken some shots to show the before and after. A few tiny changes have taken place, such as moss added to the wood, but you can really see the plant growth (and unfortunately the diatoms
)
FTS 1st July
FTS 29th July - Excuse the tannins, had to take out carbon due to whitespot which has now gone, probably all the stress from moving. Plus, bacopa not sorted out yet, but the stems got roots now, so will sort them tomorrow properly and position them more nicely.
Minnnt, you will be pleased (or jealous
) to see how much your higrophlia has grown.
1st July
29th July
Healthy new leaves, diatom covered old leaves. But it's growing. (And a sailfin trying to steal the show as usual...)
Oomigoomi hasn't had many changes yet, hopefully my vivipara will be here next week and I'll add some shots of that.
And for those interested - here is the malawi tank. Excuse the reflection. Love them, so much personality. And they seem to be trained already, come 6pm they start wriggling in front of the glass as they know it's close to dinner time
I know it sounds crazy, but I will upgrade to the Rio 400 as soon as I can, as I want more of them
This tank is my temporary holding bargain, but can't wait to be able to get the big one.
