how long's it been running? any algae?

The vivipara? About three weeks. The full tank end of June.

Barely any algae, it's my cleanest tank thanks to my five otos in there. They are doing a great job at keeping it clean.

Good news on the Rio 180 though - diatoms as good as gone and it's as good as perfect

i don't tend to blast my stuff with too much light.
Maybe up the lighting by 30mins every week or so.
Just watch the tank, it'll tell you if you need to adjust
