So no good then? I WANT IT THOUGH!!! Noooo, not going down the Co2 route.

Anyway, I'm back with my bristlenoses. They had them in the shop for a week and they have already had eggs :D They are just acclimatising but tonight I shall introduce to you my latest additions. They already got names. You wanna know? :hey: Nah, will wait until tonight with pics :shifty: And it's a good job the shop offered to take the babies for 70-80 pence each, so I will have my money back in no time. :good:

They'd better do! Although, once they start I probably want them to stop... There is no pleasing me

3N's.

Pitbull Plecs are ace. I would love a group of 10 in one of my tanks. Very nice indeed, as are Bulldog Plecs. Either would be perfect for your 125 Sal.

Can't believe you have just paid £35 for a pair of BN's. Breeding or not they're no where near as special as your 144.

We are just discussing plan F (because A-E are already scrapped ;)). So, the expensive BN stay for now. They are too cute  I will re-home the big common plecs that are in the Vision at the moment, find them someone with a 6ft tank. Then put the BN in the Vision tank with the malawis and then get the Pitbulls for the 125. If you are still with me and haven't lost track, does that sound ok?

Well, Bob and Marley were only £1.50 each, but they are so tiny that I don't even know yet if they are Bob or Barbara, Marley or Marylin ;) Really looks like I paid against far too much now, but you know what - even the man loves them, so they will hopefully be worth every penny.

If they are adults you pay more for them so I don't think you were conned.

lol yeah I got my first bn's as adults for $13 each and they weren't a pair.

I wouldn't worry too much about the price, as long as you're happy to pay it
Things seem to vary so much from shop to shop and place to place.
Everything seems to be cheaper up North.I guess it has to have some advantages

Thanks guys. I still feel stupid though. But you know what, we just had a long chat and we are going to return them tomorrow and locate some pitbuls or SAEs instead. It was in impulse buy and fish that live that long shouldn't be bought by impulse. I just started thinking rationally over dinner and I really feel silly now. We got two BN in the 180 and that's enough. Don't really need more. The shop knows me well so I know they will take them and give me store credit. I'll better invest it in something I haven't got yet or really want. Well, they ordered me the bolivian rams already as none were in, so some of the credit can go towards them. It will be better and I'm sure someone else can give them a good home. That LFS is quite good, they always ask about tanks and they know my tanks so they make sure they sell them to people who can look after them properly.

Anyway, back to plants. Any more thoughts regarding my eleocharis vivipara? Is it a definite no no or is there anything I can do to keep it?

Buy the plant and give it a go. :good:

Keep the BN's too. Rehome the Commons. Prices do vary, and with one hit they will repay you if your LFS will take them from you for sure. They are great fish!

I paid £25 for a pair from wharf once, then got back to the car and there was a parking ticket on the car, so I paid £60 for the pair in the end!

Wharf has some minnnt Bolivians in. :hey:

Well, we are just watching them and they are definitely not staying in that tank. The others are scared. I mean really scared. They (neon tetras and dwarf rainbows) are shoaling like never before (well finally they shoal, been waiting for that for ages! ) but it means that they are scared. When the plecs move from left to right they dash away in a huge shoal, they definitely don't like them.

I will sleep a night on it and see if I put them with the malawi instead and rehome the commons or just return them. I have already spent the store credit in my head on other fish I wanted :hey: Would any potential fry have a chance with malawi? Won't they be instant live food? Nom nom nom

That's an expensive pair you have. Kevin literally loled when I told him. It's not that they don't warn you every inch leading up to the front door

You want me to come up again, eh? More waffles? Maybe in August sometime, but ordered bolivians at the LFS for now, so will just take them. Or are Wharf's nice and big and sexable?

They're some of the better ones i have seen. Alot of LFS have them with bulging eyes and washed out colour. The ones at Wharf were an array of yellows and reds.

My Albino pair of BN's were £7. :p :D

The fish will soon just learn to ignore the BN's. They're just shoaling because there is a new tank mate.
