Oh yes, let's do it! All three of us, what a great day it will be. We can all  over each others' tanks.

Oh dear, need quick advice regarding malawi. I haven't got enough rock (yet). Do I build a low layer all across the base of the tank or do I pile it up on one side and leave the other one empty for now and do another pile once I get more rock?

This is what it looks like at the moment if it helps. There are some caves and I'm only starting with a few juvis that grew up together, so am hoping it will be ok for a week or two.

You have blighted the Rio thread with a Vision tank?

Have the rocks however you think they suit it best. There is no need to have it a particular way. I went with 2 piles in a valley kind of scape for mine. Worked well.

Not very planted though...

You don't like Vision? I love it!

I was hoping to create a valley type thing as yours, but not enough rock so will leave it as it is for now. I won't have plants, maybe just a couple of anubis on the rock, but that's about it.

Right, back to work now. It's time to fill it up.

Yeah the Visions ok, prefer Rio's though. I have the smaller Fluval equivalent if you remember.

With regards to it being planted, i was refering to it being in the journals section of the planted forum.

I think the Vision will be great with malawi.

Ah, ok got you regarding the planted. I just thought I'd stick it all in one, three Juwels in one journal :D

Well, I shall change the title now, love it! :D

Water is in the Vision, all watertight, phew! Needs to warm up now and then I'll pick up Pablo and Pedro at a friend who was looking after them overnight. And malawis will go in tomorrow, chucked loads of mature media in, so should be fine.

Yup, just like that :)

Waiting for the water to heat up is as exciting as watching paint dry... I want to pick up my plecs!!!

Well, I hope I'm going for the right species, it's just from someone local who has juveniles and selling them for next to nothing. I must confess I haven't done much research on all the species, I just go with what is in his tanks. He has six malawi tanks so hopefully he knows what he is on about.

Yellow labs
Purple blotch
Hongi
Lithobates

Please tell me they go together.

Argh! I need help! I knew I couldn't keep plants.

Two problems.

First one is that the fish in the 125 started munching on the weeping moss. There won't be much left to grow if I let them continue so I took the plates out for now. FF or anyone else, how do I grow it outside the tank? I want to make sure I got more than enough first before returning it to the tank.

Next problem is in the 180. Plants are turning brown, but at the same time they are growing. I can see a massive difference in growth already. What can I do? Too much light?

Will have pics ready tonight, but videos will have to wait until tomorrow.
