You see now why I said why apologise for lots of pics, that is because you can never supply enough pics.

I missed that the FTS was missing else I would have asked too.

Have you emailed the seller about the zoas??

no not got round to it.
what should i say....

"oi, I think you sent me the wrong zoas?"

i imagine he'll just turn around and say, "well you accepted them so its your problem!"

never very good at complaining.

ok have sent them a message:

hiya, having now had the zoas you sent for me for a few days (giving them plenty of time to settle in), i am a little concerned that they are not what i bid for, as the colours are completely different.
The below link is for a pic i've taken using a standard point and shoot digital camera under my normal lights.

i can appreciate that maybe your pic was taken under actinics but even under my actinics the colours are not even close. there is no blue colour what so ever.

i would be interested to know your thoughts on this

Despite you saying you are not good at complaining that is an excellent letter.

You have expressed your concerns yet left it to them to say whether or not they are the wrong zoas.

You never know, it may well be a mistake and you may get something else out of it.

At least you will have tried and won't think, I wish I had.

already got a reply:

Hi, yes i have to agree they dont look like they have any blue left in them, i Have had zoas in the past that have looked great and a week after i have fragged then the colours have changed and particularly with the blue. saying that i have kept some of these zoas myself as i thought they were stunning and mine still have the blue in them, so i cant really say why yours have lost their blue? Other than maybe stress from travelling (in which case it will come back) different water parameters, or different lighting but i dont have anything fancy just 3x 54w marine whites and 3x54w antinics.
Im sure you will believe me when i say there is no trick photography or lies with any of my listings, if there had been i will have had loads of bad feedback. I have sold about 12 others of the same frags and had no complaints. However if your unhappy, i am happy to refund you half the price you paid for the frag or next time you order i will throw in a something for free. Or if you prefer you can send them back to me and i will refund your full purchase price.

sounds good to me. not gonna send the zoas back, but might get something more from him and get a freebie.
guess there are some good sellers out there!

sounds like on of the good guys out there. In my experience most reefers are good guys, theres very few that would purposly rip people off

yeah he was really nice about it.
he hasn't got anything i fancy at the moment but when he's next got some zoas for sale we'll see what i get for free!

here's a quick FTS for those that wanted one.
Sorry about the dirty glass not got round to cleaning it since the weekend.

have had my ATC 800 delivered but haven't got a clue how to set it up, see hardware section if you've any ideas to help me out.
Also got a cleartides phosphate reactor on order as i'm fed up of my rowaphos media bag blocking up my skimmer.
Gonna run the reactor off of the return pump (the pipe that goes back into the sump).

That is looking really good Rob, seems you are another Euphyllia addict just like me.

Really is starting to look mature aswell, there was alot of thought went into the placement of the rock as it has created perfect places for different corals with different requirements.

Can't wait to see it in a few months
