holy cow! that looks fantastic!

WOW! WOW! WOW! amazing, i love the snail in the top left ^^

It really is looking great - keep us up to speed with the phosphate reactor Rob :good: I could do with a lesson on them

will keep you up to speed as and when the reactor arrives.
for some reason the reactor has a postage time of 11-12 days on it!

got the ATC 800 all wired up this evening.
It seems to work and i've not blown up the house so i guess its all ok.
only wired a 300w heater into it so far.
i intend to get some cooling fans to sit over the sump to act as a cooling device.

the missus went and collected the long nose hawkfish and the flymo blennie after work, and theyve been acclimated and are now in the tank.
no aggression so far from the two established blennies which is all good.

here is a pic of the new boy looking gorgeous!

have also FW dipped a frag of zoas that have been slowlyclosing up from one side.
will have to see if this helps. didn't see anything dodgy drop off just a load of shrimp and flatworms.

he has a great face :p

so things are starting fill up in the sump area now!

just got enough space on the right hand side (hopefully in with the return pump, to put the phosphate reactor when it turns up.

wired up the ATC-800, set it at 26 degrees so below that the heater will come, and above that a fan will come on.

and attached a bracket so that it hangs on the side of the sump:

This is the fan i got from B&Q. its just a 15cm desk fan really but it attaches via a really strong clip.

You can also see the bracket i put togther to hold the refugium light. It was attached to the top of the cabinet but i was losing a load of light out the back. Now the light is directly over where it needs to be so i'm not wasting any energy.

also had some fun yesterday when the flymo blennie decided to investigate the weir.
after about an hour of trying every method of getting him out (including draining all the water out of the weir, and even fishing for him with a barbless hook and a peice of fish!) my wife managed to fish him out with a net. The smaller hands helped alot i think!

to stop that happening again i've covered the weir area with filter foam:

so as i've already said i'm just waiting on the reactor now to finish off all of the equipment i plan on getting in the near future.
the only other possible is a top-up unit, but i don't really have the space for a reservoir anywhere!

hi all,

nothing much to report at the mo.
tank is all going well.
Have added a phosphate reactor to the sump which is bubbling away nicely.
Sump is now a maze of cables and pipework!

have made a frag rack out of some egg crate and a magnet algae scraper thing.
some of my zoas have expanded well so have cut a few frags off and superglued them to some rock fragments i bought.
With any luck i can sell these 4/5 polyps on in a month+, when they've expanded into good little colonies.

am picking up a 'honey coral' next week from a guy in worcester.
never seen one in the shops before but it kind of looks a bit like a frogspawn but is a light yellow in colour.
He also has a flasher wrasse for sale, so no doubt i'll come back with that as well!
