I did a re-scape this afternoon of the guppy tank. It was really bothering me how cluttered and incohesive it was. It's not perfect, but it's better than it was.

Thanks. I can actually see my fish now, too! Taking out the hornwort and random fake plants (that I put in just so they'd get used) really opened it up. It actually feels like a 40 gallon now. I might pick up some black posterboard tomorrow to make things stand out more.

Whenever our LFS gets in more dragon stone in we'll be getting more for our other tank and then try and figure out how to slice and dice that tank. Then we'll worry about the betta.

I did find a couple interesting pieces. All Zoo-Med medium mopani. I paid less than $5/ea for them, too. Got the hookup on dragon stone as well for $2.49/#.

The grass was a big, poofy plastic ornamental grass deal from Hobby Lobby. I found it in my shed and figured I could break it down to individual blades to simulate Vals. Keeping busy helped keep me from smoking.

Well, we have guppy fry. And several pregnant females. Cichlids are going to be eating well soon.

Our guppy fry have clearly been in there for a while. I have poor eyesight and they have a lot of hiding spots, so I probably wouldn't have noticed until they were half grown and colored up. But my daughter is excellent at spotting things like that and she found them. There are at least 7 that she could see in the little diatom covered, impossible to reach with a cleaning tool area of the tank.

I was pretty surprised to catch 61 fry. It was a lot! In this picture I had 55 at the time.
