Molly Swimming Funny - Any Ideas?

Hello People,

I have a tank, 3 weeks old, all seemed fine until one of the black and white mollies has started to swim funny. It is like its swimming tail up as if it is toiling to keep horizontal. Any ideas.

My guess is that something is toxic in the water, probably nitrite. Check if you can, and do a water change accordingly, as soon as possible. The molly sounds seriously ill and I'm not sure of her chances. You still need to save the others though, so please check water parameters and report them here. If you can't test, do a 50% water change, using water conditioner.

If water parameters are ok, we can start looking for other causes...

if your tank is only 3 weeks old that is probably the problem.have you cycled and tested all parameters. what else is in the tank

I have in the tank

4 mollies
1 Angel
1 Algea Eater
1 Small neon

It seems to be getting worse, I don't have a testing kit, should I get some of the water out and replace it, I have water treatment liquid (Safe Guard and Safestart)?
