I tried to torch it but it retracted back in before I got it, I think my first CUC will have to be a peppermint shrimp

I think i'm done :good: Will test for a few more days to make sure all stable & I will do a 20% water change, do you think I will be ready for a fish or a coral or two then? Will hold off on the CUC for a while, or maybe just get 2 small snails as I dont think there is enough food for them in there yet.

that was a brilliant cycle ;D

sounds like a plan Kari =]

Thanks guys, I was impressed with how quick it went :D

Have decided on the fishies we are going to have, I was going to avoid the clown fish, but kids have watched Finding Nemo again tonight & it looks like thats their number one choice, going to see if I can get away with a black & white one though.

So we have on the list: 1 clown fish, 1 Royal Gramma, 1 green clown goby are these ok choices? Will they all get on together? I'm going to add one fish per month I think, which one would be best to go in first?

Very excited about my first fishie

I think you should put the goby or the gramma in first.
Leave the Clown Fish till last.
Just because its fairly agressive I think.
So if you let the other two in there first, when the clowns added he wont make it all his own territory.
I could be wrong though!

hiya =]

hmmm correct me if im wrong but the black clowns are more aggressive than the orange/white color clowns.

I love the stocking list, and the green clown goby looks stunning; but have you looked at the yellow clown goby? i find them more attractive strangely enough :D

stocking looks good :good:

Id go with YF idea of putting fish it =]

hmmm correct me if im wrong but the black clowns are more aggressive than the orange/white color clowns.

depends, you can get B&W and orange&white colour morphs of the same type of clown so in theory they'll have the same sort of temperament.

most common clowns in the LFS will be aggressive when nesting though but should be relatively docile at other times.

i think grammas can be v. aggressive (but maybe thats just with their own kind) so i'd add that last.

sorry i can't remember the size of your tank but any reason why you've not gone for a pair of clowns???

i believe or 58L so its too small for a pair :good:

thanks for the info aswell Anguilla82
