I hope you dont have to wait too long x

Reef putty is used to help when stacking rocks, to stick them together so they dont fall.

Have fun in Nottingham, I'm sure they wont mind the lfs

Here's a little guy I found this morning

Kari, sorry to hijack.
Could someone tell me what fragging is?
I know you cut a coral, but like...
Yeah?

WOOHOO! :shout: :hyper: :shout: :hyper: :good:

That's some nice rock you have Kari!

The rounded 'thing' you found looks to me like a button polyp :D

I am thinking you will need to find the crab so he can be ID'd. I had a little'un in my rock in the D-D and had to get him out as he was a 'meatie' and I wasn't about to risk fish and snails etc with him

Rock watching is really exciting! I love watching it springing to life :D

YF...fragging is a name for propagating corals. You take 'fragments' of corals off the mother colonies so they can grow into new corals :D

Fragging, A means of (unnaturally) sub-dividing a coral by humans...

again sorry Kari

lol, baby was up at 5am, so by 6:15 I was bored, hubby made my breakfast today cause its my birthday :p

Thanks for the comments everyone, I've posted a piccie up in the critters section to see if anyone can ID the crab for me, he was on the move when I was re-scaping so I took the opportunity to grab him for a pic, he is very cute, but his pincer looks like it could do some damage.

I would stick the piccie in here as well Kari, after all it's all part of your Salt-water Journal.
Oh and BTW Happy Birthday,

Nice looking critter Kari, I don't profess to knowing what sp. it is... but I'm sure your gonna get a crowd stating if you don't know what it is then get shot!
True to a point.. that the crab may turn out to be destructive and will desimate your tank. I would set up a little 12x8x8 stock tank with a piece of LR and keep him as an extra pet.
Just a thought
Oh! and did I mention :shout: HAPPY BIRTHDAY

general consensus is that if the pincer tips are rounded then its ok, pointed and its dodgy.
To be honest i'd sump it if you can or 'lose' it some place else.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KARI! :cake: :cake: :- :-

putty is used to hold the rock in certain positions YF
