Jungle Scape

If you want some more anubias, i've got a bit of Anubias Nana Golden left over that you can have gratis, just remember me when your stems take off.It looks better in groups, but i've got one left over.
Arrived this morning, thank-you kindly! :good: Left it floating for the moment as I'm going to have to remove loads of bits of wood to plant everything when it all arrives, and I can't be bothered doing that several times in a few days! Shall just do it all at once!

Glad it got there ok, your postie must come early, lucky to see mine before teatime.

Nana petite arrived today (got 3 not 2, cuz 2 of them are tiny, even for petite!

Ian, the crypts and moss arrived today, now I'm going to show my ignorance and ask whether you just sent Tropica or wendtii as well, cuz they all look the same to me   *hides under the table*

Just a couple of pictures :)
FTS taken last night, you can see the growth:

That's ok, I shoved some in the bottom right corner, and some on the left with the others. I bought 30 (  ) off ebrcknrdg yesterday, which I'll also get next week, so they'll also all go down in the left corner, hopefully even with the predictable melt I should still end up with a nice compact patch :)

Can't decide whether to put the weeping moss on the piece of wood below and left a bit from the largest piece, or on the left-most piece of wood which is behind the big patch of crypts. If I had the biotope set up I'd put it in there, it'd look awesome on that long big bit of wood...

Looking good Caz, Is that Java moss on the wood? The Anubias nana petite is awesome.
There's some java moss on the wood in the middle where the java ferns are, but the moss on the big sticky up piece is christmas moss. I bought some from C101 and then Steve swapped me some for some cherry shrimp, so I've now got lots on there, and there's also some on the piece down and left of it on the FTS and some on another sticky up piece behind that big piece, not that you can tell...I'm actually considering relocating that piece, just not sure where. I'll try take some closer pictures later.

Lol, well I asked for the tropica he offered, but then I looked at what I got sent and thought... but that doesn't look any different to what I have! :look: I assumed it was my plant ignorance, not that he'd actually sent the same as what I already had! Makes no difference to me really ;) I'm happy either way :fun:

And thanks  it means a lot to have the big guns like my humble tank :good:

Ok, so today my order arrived from Planted Tanks :hyper:

So, here's a FTS from last night
IMG_4982.jpg

And these are the crypts I put in the bottom right: some from ianho, some from ebrcknrdg. The ones from ebrcknrdg have some black hair algae on them. Obviously there has been some melt, but not as bad as I thought there would be (since this picture I moved those stems to the back of the tank, and shuffled some wood around a bit, and then made room for more crypts :) )

Box of plants
IMG_4983.jpg

3 type of anubias, 2x nana golden (there were two in the pot), 1x coffeefolia, 1x hastifolia
IMG_4984.jpg

2x crypt tropica, 2 bunches of java fern, bunch of bolbitis, 2 bunches of wisteria, 3 bunches of Micranthemum micranthemoids
IMG_4985.jpg

Bowl of anubias (including the 2 from ps3steveo and 1 from stu40)
IMG_4986.jpg

Anubias hastifolia, Anubias barteri var. coffeefolia and weeping moss on wood (although most of the moss ended up on the floor/table/me rather than on the wood lol)
IMG_4987.jpg

Bolbitis and Anubias barteri var. nana glued/tied to wood
IMG_4988.jpg

Crypt wendtii "tropica"(really like these!)
IMG_4989.jpg

3 Anubias barteri var. nana golden on wood (back in the tank, forgot to take a picture outside of the tank). Think it needs another couple on it really.

Will take pictures of the rest and a FTS in a bit. Had to stop doing plant stuff to make tea/cook food etc, plus there was an incident where Becca got hold of the superglue and glued her fingers together... the left side of the tank also gets horrible glare from the window so I have to wait until it's dark to take pictures of that side.

Anyhoo, I'm really chuffed with it, once it's grown in some it'll be great! I think when I get the biotope up and running and move all the crypt wendtii/beckettii over, I think I will stick with crypt tropica in the bottom right corner, maybe get some parva in there too (thought I'd ordered some of that but apparently not lol).

Looking good

I like how there is a lot of variety of plants in this tank, also, plantedtanks plants are great right, just ordered a week or so ago and was happy with the quality and price.. Are the bunched plants the same quantity as the potted?

Keep up the good work, only thing is, whats the heater doing?? hehe, does it not fit behind the 'triangle'?

Love your tank :)! The growth is going really well. I love the xmas moss on the wood, looks great on the tip! It's given me an idea ;) does it get messy and float off all round the tank, in the filter and what not?

Have to say thats some good quality plants you got deliverd there!

I'm after some of that wisteria... hint hint, nudge nudge ;)

I suspect not, although I can't directly compare as I only got bunched ones... next time I shall splurge a little more and get potted and let you know!

Haha I know it's a bit of an eyesore isn't it    the plugs are on the left above the tank, it's less hassle to put the heater there than have the wire trailing across to the other side of the tank. I plan to get an inline heater at some point anyway (hopefully in about 6 weeks :shifty: ) so then it won't matter!

No, it's superglued on :good: took a bit of work, but it's definitely worth it. Much more effective than tying for a piece of wood like that

I'm after some of that wisteria... hint hint, nudge nudge ;)
Hahaha, buy your own plants you cheeky begger! :p :friends:
When it grows out some I shall probably have to thin it out, then I shall see what I have and if I want to sell or donate. You'll just have to keep your eyes peeled! ;)
