The tank is looking great, real jungle feel to it. It's a shame we didn't manage to come up with an arrangement for my rummynoses before the transfer window closed. They would have loved it there.

I know! But on the other hand, if I had taken them, they all would have died along with the others... so maybe it was for the best after all...

I've just had a read through it, that's terrible. Must be even worse when you have young kids too. We can only do so much as fish keepers, there's not a lot we can do if our equipment lets us down.

Fair play to you for carrying on with it though. I reckon a lot of people would have packed it in after an ordeal like that.

Tank has now been broken down.

Turns out I have 58 individual crypt plants, ranging in size from 3cm to over 20. Very pleased with this.

Will post a new journal next week when I have chance. This aft I'll be cleaning this tank and the new sand for it, ready to receive new inhabitants next week.

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone for posting and helping me when I needed it - it's been a real learning curve this tank!
