I Almost Grew Two Feet

whats with the sump monster

Sump monster was formerly known as "little fishy". He's the hawkfish I had in my 29G. I caught him killing some gobies... so between him and my sixline I was unable to add fish to my 29G. So I put little fishy into my refugium and he doesn't seem to mind at all. And well, we know how the sixline ended up...

No problem fish in this tank I decided! Only problem is, I cannot give away the sixline and hawkfish as I do still love them, despite. But both still seem to be their "cheerful" selves.

Waiting.... patiently? for my animals to arrive.... any minute now :D

Everything came in today, been in the tank a few hours now. All looks OK :good:

Blue spiral next to my yellow not-so-spiral coral

Probably not its permanent spot... have no idea where to put this monster!

Water stats:
NO3: 20
Ph: 8.1
DkH: 10
SG: 1.025
Phos.: 0
Calcium: 400
Magnesium: 1050

I broke my computer and have been using my Zune to get online... Because of this I can't post pictures until i get computer access :(

I changed mu bulbs out slightly again... Now using,
One GE 6500k
One Geissman midday (6000k I think?)
Two ATI blue plus

Might stay with this... Can't make up my mind!!

Computer access... yay :)

Vit. C started to kick in, nitRATes beginning to lower.
Water Stats today:

pH: 8.1
dkH: 9
NO3: 15ppm
Density 1.025
Phosphate 0ppm
Calcium: 500ppm
Magnesium: 1130ppm (Currently dosing to get up 1300)

Corals are looking very happy, but I did begin re-dosing supplements, so I think that is why.

Piccys!

I'm so happy about how well this torch is doing. It has gotten about twice the size it was when I got it. I have it in a pretty high flow area, but it seems to be loving it (color is slightly different because I've changed my bulbs since I first got it).

If in stock, my two new fairy wrasses will be coming in next week. They are a Golden Rhomboid and a Laboute's. :)
Currently looking at some anthias as I'm hoping for them next. Thinking of doing a group (1 male with 3 females) of them with one of the smaller species (2-3"). Still tossing the idea around though, trying to find a good, smaller species.
Excited!

Thanks GG :D

Looking around at anthias... I think I may go with either Sunset (Pseudanthias parvirostris) or Resplendent (Pseudanthias pulcherrimus) or Carberryi(Nemanthias carberryi) Anthias...

I saw some other absolutely beautiful ones, but they seem to be past the difficulty level I want to deal with right now.

Comments/Suggestions?

Thanks Yuma :D

Another water test today...
pH: 8.3
dkH: 10
Density: 1.025
NO3: 8ppm <-- Down from 20ppm in 4 days with ZERO water changes :)
Calcium: 520ppm
Magnesium: 1240ppm

No idea why my Calcium went up... Hopefully just a bit of a fluke, as I haven't been adding anything with calcium!

Manager is going to text me tomorrow about my wrasses... if in stock I'll be getting them on Thursday or Friday :D

looks great nemo getting closer and closer to your old tanks look wich was amazing

Just spoke to my manager... They have both wrasses in, but the guy at the facility said the Laboute's didn't have nice color... the Rhomboid looks amazing though apparently.

From my manager...
"He will hand pick the golden [rhomboid] for you and wont send it if its not awesome... crazy #16##### 200 for a wrasse youre as bad as me w my anthias! See you tomorrow"

I love my LFS :D :hey: :fun:
