George,
This tank is excellent ! A superb example of how a small tank can give the impression of being a much larger tank if the aquascaping is done right.
If I can get my nano looking even half as good as this in the new year, then I'll be very pleased !
Anybody looking at setting up a nano should read this whole thread again to see the full development of the tank from the first 'empty tank' shots, through the various dry hardscaping shots of the potential rock layouts, the planting of the hairgrass and initial HC foreground. Through the algae issues and on to the end results posted over the past week or so. Lots of hardwork involved, but well worth it for the rewarding end result.
The impression of size is really impressive. Looking at the latest shots it's easy to forget you are looking at a small tank ( well on the pics without your hand in there
). Also really impressed with your experiments with different background/lighting combinations.
The attention to detail in taking the pics is also evident, all the equipment removed and the surface ripples, just makes this tank stand out from the rest ......
Everything in the tank seems to be 'in scale' and ' in balance'and for me this is absolutely the best looking nano I've seen for quite some time, well worth entering in the 2007 AGA/ADA competitions.
Amazing for a first attempt at a nano !
It leaves just one question ......... Whats next from George ?
