Looks more tranquill without the ripple effect.
Pity you cant enter the competition with this.

Meadow Reflections

What do you guys think, better with no ripple effect? I like the peacefulness of the reflection and stillness. I feel it suits this aquascape.

I was stripping this down this weekend in preparation for 2 weeks away from home, but my course has been postponed. So I should be able to get more photos next week, when the riccia carpet has formed a really solid mass.

I've been running a 4 hour photoperiod now for 2 weeks. No trace of algae anywhere and the plants are doing fine, if a little overcrowded amongst the hairgrass but it's fine for photo/viewing in the short-term.

Very apt name. I like this name allot more than journys end.
I like the still water, it would be nice to compare the two side by side.
I love the the postion of the fish too, like angles in the sky.

Very calming and tranquil.
Very nice Goerge.

I think I've looked at this thread a hundred times, every single time it's been inspirational. Yet I never commented since I feel so humbled. Well, I've turned a new leaf, not so meek now.

Great nano George, absolutely stunning. And the photography is also impressive. I just hope I can learn from your experiences and do something nice with my pfk cube :D

Right... now I'm off to comment on the other ones that inspire me:)

And thank you too Glod. Please, never feel too "humble" to comment.

I'm going to have to add my name to the list of those you've inspired. Really serene - theraputic. I'm not sure it's what I want to do with my own nano, but still, your work truly is breathtaking, and a model for us all!

Reminds me of the field where the velocaraptors get all the baddies in Jurassic Park 2 or was it 3.

Anyway looks spectacular, very serene, unlike what it reminds me of. lol

Good Work again George

 What can I say? Matt Clarke's words..........

Yep, saw that and wow what a title to have. Must have impressed him like us all ;)
Apparently I caught Matt's attention a while back because of this forum, and he mentioned me to the editor long before I started writing.

It's one reason I like to give what I can back to TFF in my role as a mod etc.

Quick update.

The tank will be stripped down this weekend, after my final photo shoot.

Future plans are -

1. The fish will be temporarily re-homed in my daughter's 125 l. / 33 gal. planted tank.
2. Plants to a friend.
3. I've ordered ADA Aqua Soil Amazonian (powder) as my new substrate.
4. I've also ordered ADA Bright Sand as I'm trying out a new style (for me) of 'scaping.
5. New plants are coming from Tropica.
6. No CO2 this time, just Seachem Flourish Excel.

Aquascape plans to be confirmed but it will be another very simple layout. This time much lower maintenance, more sustainable. I'll start a fresh journal too.
