yeah but the amount of fish people have on here, and the amount of information on every fish on the site isn't in the data base.

But why? Just type it in google if you don't know what a fish is. Fishbase is good as Wiggle mentioned.

If you're offering to do it yourself then do but it's a big job to ask someone else to do.
