Few Of My Fish, Some Strange Some Not!

 soz ladie's.......
dave, iam thinking the same as you but again i still think might just be a different strain mate, this is fustrating to know with juvi's......imagine if i posted a pic of a juvi ornatipinnis , i would get just about every channa name under the sun, but your's do look very similar, i have messaged someone who hopefully will know,

yer its is frustrating!
i know they are similar, it just puts questions into my head when i come across three white/yellow channa, only one has any markings and the other two have a totally different base color to the colored one?
and if you look at the heads and mouths they are different. i am aware of different varients of channa having different coloration, but not body and certainly not head structure? may be wrong though!
oh and neil that white one is about 6 inch so i would assume that is its adult color, i personally wouldnt class it as a juvi, the smaller one is only about 3 inch which i would class as a juvi but looking at it you can tell its not as developed as the larger one.
confusing stuff!! hehe

I know mate, fustrating, but hopefully my mate will get back to me, he know's his stuff and speak's alot with the bloke from the natural history museum who collect's lot's of new variant's of channa...

us ladies at least pretend to be nice lol

Good luck finding out, what ever they are they are lovely channa :good:

Channa punctata

so the second one is sp. Platinum? That would explain why they battered each other, the guy at bas said they came in together, all three of them! But punctata and the sp. Platinum live in the same place so perfectly understandable.
So should i keep on selling that one as punctata or platinum?
This is why i questioned it so many times!
Cheers mate
David

i like the bankanensis, they have stunning color, i think its more the patterning, with the white underside! Lovely. You just gonna stick with a single one? Think they would look brilliant in a group!
Wouldnt mind a group of them one day! Seriously considering sacking of the big tank and having about ten tanks dedicated to dwarf channa!
How positive is your mate about the sp. Platinum id?
If it is then i might put that in the big tank and sell that punctata out of there?!? Choices choices!
Cheers
Dave
