Look who I found, swimming around in my tank
 

 

 

 
 
I've got no idea about a name, so any help there would be appreciated
 
Not sure about his tail type, I'm think veil tail, but I haven't gotten him to flare to check.
Hoping he's a marble, but only time will tell I think

Just realised how grainy those pictures are, sorry about that. I'll try to get some pictures with my camera tomorrow, since these were with my phone.

Even though they're grainy you can still tell he's pretty! Lovely shade of blue
At a loss for names right now as well, looking forward to more pics of him!

he's camera shy, every time I get my camera out to take a pic, he goes and hides in his coconut cave. >.<
 
Fed him a pellet, he spat it out, then ate it again I used tweezers to feed it and he ate right out of them.
 
Ahahaha, these probably sound like stupid stuff, but I'm just so happy to have him

Oh forgot to add something, I found a person on FB that has a lil guy, almost identical! Wonder if they have the same parents?

So glad he's eating already! It's not stupid at all, I think most of us feel that way!
Is the person on fb near you or..?

No, I don't think so. She is down near the bottom of the South Island, whereas I'm more central North Island. 
I'm fairly sure that most of the Bettas in NZ are shipped around, since I don't know any local breeders, they're all down the South Island.

He has a bit more of a mask, but apart from that, they're identical, right down to the red on the tips of the fins.
 
Managed to get *insert name* to flare, he's a VT. I don't mind it too much, though I was hoping he would be a tail type that wasn't so common.
But meh, he's got a big personality
 
The tank in the LFS he was in had lemon tetras, and it looks like they have nipped his fins a little bit He was nipping them back though
 
IKR, I was so happy when he took the pellet.
It's going to be so hard resisting him, when he begs for food

Does he have a name yet? I have never named my fish so I am of no use to you! My girlfriend has names for all my fish and talks to me about them as if I know what she's on about!! I just nod my head and agree

Oh he's beautiful BLF! Name him after a god or give him an epic English word ( eg volcano ) and put it into google translate.

Well, I took 130 photos of him, and only 32 turned out semi okay, LoL. My camera's shutter speed is too slow I think
 
FTS of my amazing aquascaped tank (it sucks, I know. Especially compared to DTD's tank ).
 

 
There is a little bit of a problem, the side of the tank is reflective  
He's constantly flaring at it, I've temporarily put a towel there, which has stopped it a lot, though he still does it occasionally.

He's only accepting one pellet at the moment, though I've been trying him with three. Since I feed him in the morning, I've also been feeding him in the afternoon, so he's been having two pellets a day, which I hope is enough
