Danny's Cycle...

If that was me trying to get the nitrites down, I would just stick the fish in another mature tank and flog that one and start again :p :pepsi:

keep going Danny, it can't be far off now............nearly there lol

things just keep getting worse here, first the nitrites in betta tank , now a few of my wcmm are flicking, it never rains but pours aarrghhhhhhh, asking advice for that now. I just think Im getting somewhere then something else happens, geez

You'll see, we'll be experts when all this is over lol, talk about a crash course

Oh god, I'm sorry to hear that :(

haha, yeah we will be... gosh this is certainly some intense lesson in keeping fish :p

Tell me about it, already treated betta for fin rot which he had when I got him, got him over that, then the nitrite crisis, still ongoing, now the minnows. I bought some new mossballs last week so wondering if they brought something in as thats the only change in the minnow tank, hope its not them as my betta had one in his tank. I treated them with a sterazin soak as advised on bottle but iot may not have been enough.

Keep going Danny,it'll be worth it, :good:

I did a fish in cycle and it is very stressful, luckily i didn't lose any fish,my nitrite took a long while and many W/C before finally hitting the zero

although it is just has frustrating doing fishless. :)

*updated*

If my eyes aren't deceiving me then its stayed at 0.25ppm for over 12 hours! This must be a good sign?!

I have just fed the fish. Will perform a water change and light gravel clean at around midday!

*updated*

The last test of today.
No more water changes now until tomorrow when I get in around 7pm.

I hope the Nitrite will stay below 0.25ppm when I test when I get back home.
