Well I am not a happy bunny! Dad had a bad cough which wasnt getting any better with antibiotics which he started on Saturday afternoon, anyway, he did a video call to some nurse who advise he might have caugh the coronavirus after getting an initial cold/flue from me. They have said having given a prescription for even stronger antibiotics that if he does get better indicating its not the virus, then this is fine, however, for the time being, we should intend on staying isolated for 14 days! Well I've been on Tesco website a major UK supermarket chain and there is no delivery slots until the 4th April (yes I realise this is after 14 days).

My daughter was also given antibiotics - clarithomycin. I questioned it, I think Colin_T said in an early post not to accept this, but they said it would protect her chest from infection.

I'd like to know if I have already had it, is there a test for that??

not yet but they are hopeful they can soon reliably test for antibodies as they say this offers a high level of immunity. Vallance on the Daily Update was saying we should do a lot more tests for Covid-19.

I think someone on here posted that they were in the army or bought MREs from an army surplus store, if that person is still viewing this list please advise as I'm curious to ask how much they usually cost.

I went onto ebay and found someone selling a days worth of MRE food for £25 which is a staggering cost, I queried then and they responded they are low on supply so they "needed" to raise the price! lmao, I like the way they say they "needed" to!

Believe me, there are plenty of unlicensed staff that have nothing to lose in talking. They don’t have to worry about licenses like the rest of us. Business office, secretaries, food workers, maintenance, unit clerks, etc can’t be gagged.

I am furious! Houston began a 15 day order yesterday for all bars , clubs, and restaurants to close. Restaurants can serve take out or delivery. I live in a small town South of Houston and we are even complying with the order. Galveston City Judge however said he doesn’t feel he has the power to initiate such an order so he refuses to close businesses. That means everyone will go to Galveston tonight to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day and bring the virus back Over the bridge to Houston. The judge is only doing it because they are a tourist city and Spring Break is extended. All about the money. To top things off, they had their 2nd confirmed corona case today and the man got it in the public community. He’s been in no travel or around anyone ill. So the virus is floating around Galveston free as a bird! Tomorrow it will be in Houston! Ugh!

Yes mate we have a big family so we wont need to worry plus we are well stocked on foods, so food wont be an issue, just fresh stuff. the thing is though I feel fine, I just wish I knew if I had experienced the virus when I had a bad cough and a cold last three weeks and I'm virtually never ill.. when I'm ill its usually a vomiting jobby!

Well that doesn't make a lot of sense but I think the competency of the Galveston City Judge should be looked into because he should really have access to lawyers who can answer the question properly if he is unsure.

Here in the UK we are seeing massive changes to society already, some of the busiest train stations looking empty and like I said in a previous post I cant order a home delivery for best part 3 weeks. I think the supermarkets should do more about panic buying!

Haven't read any posts,but here to say that I was shocked to see my local Supermarket just cleaned out,no carts,one loaf of bread per person and in the meat section? ALL the frozen chickens and parts were gone. Like those 3rd world stories of the past?
This is in an area of 7 million people!

I'm in the San Francisco bay area. Right now Supermarkets from lowest to even the highest income areas are like war zones. Lines,empty shelves.

I usually order my groceries from a large grocery chain and have them delivered. Online they are showing no delivery available through the end of the month. Ouch. A friend of mine just brought me 10 lbs of chicken breast and pieces which should last awhile. Luckily I stocked up on many other items a couple of weeks ago. I'm hunkering down for the foreseeable future.

I also have stockpiled food. Mostly canned goods, but some rice and such. Not really anything for pleasure. For some reason, my Walmart still has a lot of meat and such. Its only sold out of milk, cheese, TP, water, etc.
