Coronavirus...post your thoughts here...

Does this poster mean if you have a cough and cold you should still report it?

I don't think it's a thing to report here in the UK, the hospital site says not to call, most likely they will be over flooded with calls if you did.

I wonder if I should self isolate? I'm getting better though.
No, I meant not everyone reports it.

In all of my years on earth, I have never seen anything like this. This beats the gas shortage back in the late 70’s. Nothing in the grocery stores. Even my beloved Diet Coke was gone.

I went to a local convenient store and they were very well stocked. Of course their prices are generally higher than large grocery stores

My local supermarket has heaps of fizzy drink but not much else. I can't even buy frozen veges for dinner now. I had meat and rice last night and I'm just about out of rice. Can't buy more tho because everyone else has taken it all.

You might want to ask them when their next delivery arrives and get there on time...

I have asked the staff when their next shipment is coming in. They say it is coming in tonight and will be available in the morning. Unfortunately I can't get there in the morning so I miss out.

I have brought this up with the store manager and asked them to make stock available in the late afternoon. She did that last week with a pallet load of toilet paper and I managed to get some. But they are unwilling to do it with anything else.

So I have just sent another email to the CEO of Woolies and asked them to do something about this. The CEO has been dribbling on about stock being made in Australia and all stores should have plenty available. Well that isn't correct. Yes it's made in Australia but the stores have nothing after 10am.

It's so frustrating. All I want to do is my basic weekly shopping and I can't even do that because idiots are going nuts and buying everything as soon as the store opens.

Per my guesstimate, the people who are stocking up their home pantries will be all stocked up for awhile in a week or so; and then more product will stay on the shelves for a longer period of time. Right now it's just panic buying by the public.

You would think that but there hasn't been any toilet paper, tissues or paper towels for over a month now. So people are still panic buying and stock piling more than a month after they started. And now they have started cleaning out canned and frozen goods too.

The main food left in my local supermarket is meat, chocolate, chips & CCs, and tomatoe sauce.

I can tell you now, steak or canned fish, broken up into little pieces and put on CCs with a drop of tomatoe sauce is quite nice. However, chocolate CCS and chocolate potatoe chips are not nice.

If the grocery stores run out of some of the foods you want, you could always stock up on hamburgers , fish sandwiches and fries from your local McDonalds if you have them in Australia.:D

But what do you mean by that? report it (what, symptom or actual test confirmation) to who??
You can call your health department and ask them for more info. I was just saying they only know of the ones reported. If I get sick and it’s mild, I’ll just stay home and take care of myself. I’m sure many will. Therefore, they will not have a true count of cases. Perfectly normal in flu season.

Definitely stock up on things you need. (Not want) If you can, obviously. Water, TP, canned food, etc.

I just went to my local military surplus store, and bout about 70 MRE’s. These are super good and they last a long time.
