Anyone Want To Rant? About Anything? I Do.

Constant health problems

Getting diagnosed with one thing after another yet no one seems to have a clue beyond 'you have this... there isnt a cure.... take these pills'. Constant tests and blood draining and grief and unpaid time off work and baaaaah!!

Then agonizing toothache and turns out i need to go back for 2 wisdom teeth + 1 out

And the antibiotics... amoxicillin and thn a second lot of antibiotics on top of the first to stop them making me sick and now i can even eat or anything without being sick and have finished them nearly a week ago.

And now im in so much discomfort if it doesnt get better its going to be a+e yet again :(

Why am i falling apart? I only just turned 24... not bloomin 42. or 204 more like it.

 :-(

I want a body transplant lol

Feel your pain.

24, and i have a plastic kneecap, arthritis in both, arthritis in my hands, and pins holding my right wrist together.

I wonder how im going to make 30...

What's the deal with all the violence?

Won't get you anywhere in life, believe me, I know.

there are times, when you have no choice.
take it from someone who has seen a whole lot of life. and have not a stain on my record.

like others, i would claim not to be a violent man.
however most of those who have tried using it on me, have quite a different view.

sometimes you just have to stand up for yourself or, more often, others.

as a world we know what placating bullies can do ( Hitler, Iraq, Iran, Israel)
ok these are states, but the same holds true for single people.

as someone older, I think we have forgotten the lessons.

LOL raptorrex, it seems we have extremely different views. I used to think like you but there just has got to be a time when a person grows up.
We've all seen a lot, none of us have been wrapped in cotton wool but that doesn't really give someone the right to attack another.

extreme, to who?

i have to say you predictions of a slippery slide if you have to resort to violence, are totally untrue.
@52 i haven't got so much as a caution, for violence (well anything).

I, like others who responded, was bullied. it didn't stop till i go up the spheres to face, and flatten, the lead bully.
problem solved.

and i wouldn't think twice about defending someone else. you see, that's what we call a community. if you look in the history books, you will find we used to have them.

Extreme to me obviously, I cannot speak for anyone else as I don't know their views, plus, I'm not much of a public speaker. :good:

I fail to see where your going with this. Are you talking about bullies or simply being violent for the sake of it? I'm confused.

I live in a community, a nice community in fact. One that was part of a country that was war torn for 100's of years and still is by a minority. A divided community that the British army was trying to control. I'm not got going to get into my personal views or the rights or wrongs of this but the community got past this to some extent.
A great deal better than it was prior.
Walking to school and seeing shops/cars/buildings blown up is violence, on a community as a whole.

Would I want it to go back to this because of my personal belief, views and opinions even though I believe things aren't they way I want them to be?
No.

I could be wrong (the internet can mess up your intent) but I have a feeling that micko and raptorrex might be talking about violence from two different angles. Or at least it started out that way. Violence in self defense is usually seen as different than offensive violence. There are a few, but most don't really live by the "turn the other cheek" notion. If someone is going to bash your head in, you might try to bash them back first to keep your head safe. Not a lot of people will say, "go ahead and bash in my head, at least I didn't use violence." There are a few who do, but not most.

In a idealistic world, violence wouldn't be the answer. In reality, to me, life at times leaves you no choice. You should always try non-violence first, but you don't always have time for trial and error. It would be great if everyone was diplomatic and people didn't feel the need to kill each other.

My intended rant:

I am REALLY tired of using old #17##### equipment to teach electronics. Everytime we teach the final troubleshoot in this class we spend a good 3 hours just getting everything to work right. Its doubly annoying because the students won't even use half of this information for their jobs! They don't learn much because the lesson is so broken up with "well maybe it's the card that's broken.. no wait.. it's your O'scope." ARGGGGGGG

(it's training for military memebers going Information Tech. I bet most ITs, to include civilians, don't know most of what we teach in here).

Hope you are feeling better.

I had the opposite.
Have been feeling rubbish for 6 weeks. Coughing, blocked up, temperature, headache.
Went to my gp who said it was a virus, anti-biotics wouldn't work. Take paracetamol.
A week later I am feeling no better, so back I go. Dr says same thing. By now I am going through a box of paracetamol every 2 days.
So I go back for a third time and manage to see another dr. He very reluctantly prescribes me anti-biotics. Only because I said I was not leaving until he did so! Two days later I am feeling so much better. Not 100% yet, but I feel like a person again! So why did was it such an issue to give them to me?!?!?!

ive got whooping cough.

also known as the 100 day cough, im about 5 weeks in. coughing so hard you throw up, pop ear drums, give yourself headaches, and most worryingly, your throat closes up for a few seconds and you cant breath. no cure, mo meds, doc said just 'ride it out, its all you can do'.

Sounds alarming!
Have you been for a 2nd opinion?

Why do some people in cars/vans/lorries insist on parking partly on the path forcing people with prams out onto a busy road???
This bugs me soooo much! Today a lorry parked up on a path and even though I had no buggy on this occasion, myself and other pedestrians had to go out onto the road. Grrrrrrr!

Inconsiderate parking does my head in too.
Couldn't help but laugh when I saw one of them get a ticket the other day, serves them right

We live on a small, private street and all the houses have a drive way and room infront of their house to park. I hate it when people park infront of my house, on the road or on the path. We have three cars, two are off road and parked at the side of our house as I do intend on selling them but we still have room for parking on our drive. Our next door neighbours who I get on with have a relative stay with them and they insist on parking infront of our house.
I hate it. It drives me nuts. Park in their drive or infront of their house. There is enough room after all.

If you get on with them, why don't you knock on their door and politely ask them to refrain from parking in front of your house.

On the other hand, you could park in front of their house and p*ss them off too! :fun:
